Last week, Sigma announced the FP2, the latest generation in its line of ultra-small cameras that it says are designed to be 50% for photography, and 50% for cinematography. Alongside it, the company introduced a lens that’s the first in a new series aimed at being light and compact, rather than devoted to clinical sharpness across the frame.

Unsurprisingly, the DPReview crew had a lot of thoughts and feelings about the camera, not all of which they’re certain about. If there’s one thing that’s clear, it’s that, despite its simple appearance, this is a complicated camera that will take a while to fully understand.
